HØJ HEST was released by ‘Høfeber Records’ - an indie-label founded by me and my friend Jonas Kongpetsak. I started writing songs to this project during my travels in Australia from autumn 2022 to the spring of 2023. I finished the production and the mix in the summer of 2024. The video above is an EP-trailer made by Lasse Boie.
HØJ HEST consists of 6 songs, where the listener is taken through a journey of electronic productions and dusty guitar and bass riffs. The sources of inspiration are many. You can find elements from artists such as Gorillaz, Sault, Malk de Köjn and Bisse just to name a few.
STREJF is my way to fulfil a need to write and produce songs and be creative with sonic expression and storytelling. The danish lyrics are a key element in my musical universe and it fascinates me how words and music can tell a story.

The creation of this record have taught me many important things when it comes to finishing a project. The original idea was to make a hole album, but when I got to the mixing process I decided to cut to the bone and only release the strongest songs.
I also really enjoy to collaborations and for this EP Linus Hällfors contributed with additional vocals for ‘Kunsten I At Falde Ned’ and Bjarke Frandsen Andersen aka Høfli with additional vocals for ‘BRANDFARE!’. Designer Karoline Hyveled-Nielsen contributed with the artwork which came to be a central part of the concept for HØJ HEST.
During the process of this EP I’ve improved my songwriting and producing skills, and I’ve spent hours of hours in my home studio recording my vocals, guitar, synth and piano.
I mixed the EP at Sonic College mix/mastering studio. It really opened my eyes to the whole world of mixing and I hope to mix much more music in the future.
